Introduction to Jaz Singh
It’s not enough these days to just introduce Jaz Singh as a finalist from the second season of The Traitors. There is far more to this Faithful than meets the eye. A natural broadcaster, motivational speaker and proud Mancunian, Jaz has developed into a brand of his own. HIs profile built on an engaging personality and heart-warming integrity.
Launching the Salcombe Season
Jaz joined us in Salcombe, alongside Made in Chelsea’s Freddie Browne, to launch our new summer collection. Together, they perfectly encapsulated the playful, breezy style of a sunny day by the water with sharp style still very much front and centre.
The sandy beaches and pontoons of the Salcombe Estuary are a far cry from Jaz’s former 9-5 of life as a successful national account manager or even the grandeur of The Traitors’ castle. However, but the 32-year-old slipped into South Hams coastal living with ease.

Jaz Singh: From The Traitors to the beach
Jaz is a dream to work with and a wardrobe to match. He was catapulted into the limelight when he reached that second season final. On the back of his ability to root out a Traitor, he became known as Jazatha Christie.
An impressive communicator, Jaz has gone on to make multiple TV, radio and podcast appearances as a guest and presenter. He currently hosts his own radio show, The Everyday Hustle, on the BBC Asian Network.
Away from work, Jaz is a Manchester United supporter, and loves fishing. He has also partnered with charities, including Comic Relief and Young Minds UK, often leaning on his own life experiences for the benefit of others. Jaz discovered his father had been leading a double life with a second family and has spoken openly about this betrayal to benefit others.
He also loves music, cooking, culture and fashion…and it is the latter we want to know more about.
“My old man was a traditional wholesaler, based in the heart of Manchester’s city centre, and he would sell his designs for t-shirts, shirts, jeans and lots of suits. I would go to the showroom and hear all the orders that would come in. I fell in love with it. Fashion was everything I wanted to do in my life.
“I kept asking if I could get involved in the business, but my dad kept saying, ‘No, no you don’t want to get involved in fashion; it’s a lot of hard work.’ I could not understand why my idol, who knew I was not afraid of hard work, did not want me involved. It was not until years later that I realised his business partner was his mistress.”

Passion for fashion
Thwarted from following his father into the family business, Jaz experimented with fashion away from education and work. He would buy cheap t-shirts and customise them to the point people would ask him about them, but he never revealed he was their creator.
“I liked to go against the grain as opposed to trying to fit in. I think it’s important to represent your individuality. I try to stand out.”
When Jaz was not flicking through magazines or scrolling though ASOS, he was also influenced by the iconic style of footballing legend David Beckham.
“He wore this blazer with a low-cut vest and the baggiest pants with Stan Smith trainers. That became my look. I still love double-breasted blazers to this day. When you go to as many big, lavish Indian weddings as I do, you need as many suits as possible, and most of mine include double-breasted jackets.”
When it comes to shoes, Jaz has been known to sport styles from Christian Louboutin and Tom Ford. One of his original favourites though is a wholecut from Herring, bought long before he ended up on a boat in Salcombe.
“I look for something that will give me an extra bit of confidence and comfort. Smart trainers have been a game changer for me. I like the versatility of being able to wear a trainer with a suit. I love a Chelsea boot too but the wholecuts I bought from Herring many years ago are still my favourite. I love some of their loafers too. You cannot beat the Snaff…it’s sensational. I love the brown suede loafers too.”
Soaking up the Salcombe vibe
The photoshoot in Salcombe gave Jaz a chance to flex his fashion style on one of the warmest days of the year. While a seemingly effortless gig, it was actually a lot of hard work, which Jaz and Freddie eased through.
“That day could not have gone any better. It had everything you wanted in a shoot with the right people really wanting to create something special. We were working with people who were experienced in the game, so you felt you wanted to be the best you could be.
“The weather and the scenery were beautiful. The table overlooking the sea, the food, the whole vibe was just special. I felt very lucky to be in that place.”
Away from the sandy Devon beaches, Jaz continues to be heard on our airwaves and seen on our screens. With a brand built around trust, he is more than happy to stay loyal to being authentic as he eyes up future work opportunities in TV and radio.
“Ever since I came off the show, I have been associated with trust, so I’d like to explore doing documentaries and factual entertainment on TV. TV is where I have always seen myself, but I never thought all this would happen. I want to continue trying to be honest and consistent with trust.
“This is why I have been selective with the all the brands I’m collaborating with. I have had such a good experience with Herring because it resonates with me as a brand you can trust.”
