Herring Shoes

Marking the party season with a new two-tone spectator

Christmas is on its way, which means party season is too! It’s a wonderful chance to enjoy time with friends, family and work colleagues, dress up a bit, and let your hair down. The TV adverts are rolling, the supermarkets are full of festive food. Someone in the office has probably asked you to pick your menu for the Christmas party. In Herring’s case, that someone is Ken, our operations manager. Shout out to Ken!

The party season gives us a good excuse to roll out elegant shoes that immediately elevate an outfit. It’s also a good excuse to introduce a new shoe, such as the Farnham

The Farnham is a two-tone spectator and is party through and through! We had the chestnut calf and navy suede version for a while. The black and white is new for this autumn/winter season and it is simply splendid!

The two-tone calf and elegant shape determined by the Z160 last and chiselled toe box, make this a stand-out shoe.

Unlike the Oxford-style black and white Gusbourne, this two-tone spectator is perforated with classic brogue detailing, including a decorated toe. All these design elements give the Farnham a truly bespoke appearance.

Goodyear-welted two-tone spectator

In terms of construction, the Farnham has a leather sole and is Goodyear-welted for comfort and durability. This means you can easily repair this shoe when the sole starts to wear through. Too much swivelling on the dance floor?

The chestnut and navy version also looks great while our two-tone monk shoe, the Faversham, is super smart too.

Men’s formal shoes for parties

If the two-tone vibe is not your thing, then we have plenty of formal styles to put you in the party mood. The Dillon loafer, with its snaffle trim, is a head turner while polished leather loafers are an excellent starting point too. For example, the Lucca II is a classic penny loafer and comes in both black and burgundy polished styles.

A monk shoe represents a change from day-to-day lace-ups and may not be a shoe style you have considered before. The Salobrena is made from a croc-effect chestnut or black calf and adds a certain continental flair to any outfit. Meanwhile, the rosewood calf Roche features subtle hand-burnishing, a high-shine toe, delicate punching and an in-channel stitched signature blue sole, to make it a peerless wonder.

If your Christmas party is black-tie, then we would obviously suggest the black and white Farnham. You may wish to consider our black patent Oxfords, the Aston, or our new black Morecombe semi-brogues. If you prefer a slipper, then why not jazz up your outfit with our best-selling skull house shoe? You could also choose from one of our stag or Ohene alternatives. All these house shoe styles are made from black velvet and make a tuxedo sing!
